He has experience in mentoring and consulting more than 50 startups from diverse sectors. Prior to joining the EFG-EV Fintech program, Aziz was a product manager for an SME in Paris, France then came back to Egypt and participated in launching the first local fintech accelerator under AUC's Venture Lab, powered by CIB.

"Prior to joining Falak, Farah was Project Manager at CBA Paris, where she consulted brands like Nestle, LVMH and Al Fakher on retail strategy and innovation. She then joined JWT, where she lead the launch of the 1st annual film festival in Gouna. Farah is also the co-founder of French Silicon Academy, an education startup based in London. She was responsible for building and marketing and brand strategy, press communication and partnerships which lead to a successful acquisition. Farah holds a BSc. In Architecture with Honors from the University of Bath and an MSc in Innovation, Entrepreneurship & Management with Merits from Imperial College of London."

"Prior to joining Falak, Farah was a consulting analyst in the Government Advisory team in NI Capital. During her tenure, she worked closely with senior government officials to address systemic challenges across a myriad of sectors spanning across education, housing, tourism and cultural heritage. Some of her projects includes participating in creating the fund strategy of Egypt Ventures. She started her career with Endeavor Egypt, where she was responsible for companies including Ismailia Company and Nola Cupcake , both of which successfully passed the Endeavor Local Selection Panel. She has also experience in both venture capital and entrepreneurship having previously founded an Edutainment start-up of her own. Farah graduated from King’s College London with a BA in Development Geography and a specialization in Urban Policy."
Nayera El Sammaa

"Prior to joining Falak, Nayera was the CFO of KarmSolar, a startup company in the solar energy sector in Egypt. During her tenor, she was responsible for establishing the Company’s corporate finance department. She also executed 5 rounds of capital increase, amounting to EGP 49MM and executed and closed EGP 33MM of debt financing. Prior to KarmSolar, she was working for a Private Equity fund in Real Estate and Infrastructure in their offices in Dubai, Bahrain and London. During her tenor, she executed and closed deals of a total value of EUR 1.4Bn. Nayera holds a MSc in International Economics from Paris I Pantheon- Sorbonne and an MBA from École Nationale des Ponts et Chaussées in Paris."

"Prior to joining EFG-EV Fintech, Mahmoud worked as a Senior Economist at the Minister of Investment and International Cooperation’s office, before that he was Project Officer at Finbi, a finance and banking consulting firm. He was responsible for analyzing financial performance of MFIs, providing technical assistance to the Credit Guarantee Company (CGC), formulating strategies for change management. Mahmoud has more than 7 years of work experience in Strategic Planning and Implementation, Finance, Economics and International Development. Mahmoud holds an MBA from Herriot Watt University, passed his CFA level I examination and graduated the Oxford University Fintech Program. "
Yousef El Samaa

"Yousef is the former co-founder and CEO of Taqalid INC (ElWafeyat.com & Inmemoryof.com), a company that has been through Flat6labs in Cairo and 500 Startups in Silicon Valley.
Under Yousef’s leadership, El Wafeyat has grown to become the first and largest online obituary portal in the Middle East. The Company managed to raise EGP 1.6MM at a valuation of EGP 16.8MM.
He is also one of the founding team of Venture Lab Accelerator at the AUC & “The Hit” online show, in partnership with SOUQ & AUC."
Miral joined Falak after receiving a Bachelors in Marketing from Arab Academy for Science & Technology. She has experience in Digital Marketing and Entrepreneurial Marketing, after interning at Alamia Group's Marketing Department. Miral is passionate about using her skills and experience to help Falak become a global brand.
Saif El Bendari

"Saif has more than 6 years of experience working in business development, project management and partnerships with some well known international and local entities supporting entrepreneurship. Prior to joining Falak, Saif was the Startup Relations Manager at Riseup, where he was responsible of engaging new startups in the Egyptian entrepreneurship eco-system. He worked closely with Egyptian startups to assist them with RiseUp strong networks and resources. He also lead the special events team managing 20+ events during the 3 days RiseUp Summit. Saif started his career with Mercy Corps as a Agriculture Program Officer where he mentored and provided technical assistance to young entrepreneurs across Cairo,Alexandria, Giza, Luxor & Aswan. Saif was also the CEO and co-founder of Barsima, a startup investing in agriculture in Egypt. Saif holds a BA in Political Science from Cairo University. "

During his time in Logic, he participated in several assignments including but not limited to: The full 5 years strategy of B-Tech, The roll-out of a new school diploma developed by the Egyptian Education Development Fund & supported by NI Capital, The design and implementation of a performance management system for more than 2,000 medical professional for the 57357 Hospital in Egypt. He also worked in partnership with ITDA to support a number of startups with their marketing and finance strategy. Youssef holds a Bachelor of Business Administration from the American University of Cairo."

Heba Ali is Managing Director of Egypt Ventures and Vice-Chair of Falak Startups. She has over a decade of experience leading innovative organizations that develop and foster startups and ecosystems across multiple sectors, as well as extensive expertise in strengthening the role of entrepreneurship as a socio-economic development catalyst. Ms. Ali particularly focuses on high-impact entrepreneurship, venture capital, business model and institutional innovation, and ecosystem development. Ms. Ali previously served as Partner at Endure Capital, and Senior Entrepreneurship Advisor at Mercy Corps. Ms. Ali was also consultant at IBM and GIZ, and was part of the founding team of Endeavor Egypt. She is Co-Founder of T20 Association, serves on the board of AYB for Sustainable Development, and is an active member of the AmCham’s Entrepreneurship and Innovation Committee. Ms. Ali has an MSc from the LSE and a BSc from the GUC.
Amr El Abd

Amr El Abd is CEO of Egypt Ventures and Chairman of Falak Startups. He has more than 17 years of experience as an entrepreneur and director of fast growth companies. His fields of experience span new venture creation, business development, investment, training and consultancy, and startup acceleration. Mr. El Abd has co-founded and held senior managerial positions with several ventures ranging from technology, logistics, training and consultancy, to venture capital investments. Mr. El Abd founded Entrepreneurs Business Forum-Egypt (EBF), the first NGO to support and empower entrepreneurs in Egypt in 2004 and has been an active member of the entrepreneurship ecosystem since then. He has developed many programs for entrepreneurship policy requirement working on creating a supportive environment for new venture creation. Mr. El Abd has a BSc in Economics from Georgetown University, USA.

Our program is constantly on the lookout for teams of 2-4 individuals who are passionate entrepreneurs, and are dedicated to building their businesses with a unique value proposition for a potentially large addressable market. We are looking for teams with complementary skill sets who are driven, hardworking and willing to learn new market strategies. Selected teams must be able to relocate to Cairo during the 4-month acceleration period.
